Additional Services
I also offer services that draw on my skills as a journalist, i.e. deep research, insightful interviewing, and clear, compelling writing, to ensure every project is grounded in accuracy, nuance, and strong storytelling.
Ghostwriting
I specialize in ghostwriting thought leadership content that helps individuals and organizations articulate their expertise with clarity and authority. I translate complex ideas and fresh insights into engaging, accessible narratives that help clients build influence and credibility and generate leads.
In addition to thought leadership, I'm currently in the process of building my experience in memoir and e-book ghostwriting, a decision inspired by my master’s capstone project, When Clemency is a Lifeline. The piece profiles Yohannes “Knowledge” Johnson, who had been incarcerated for murder since 1982 until his pardon and release in November 2025.
Although the capstone is a reported feature rather than a memoir, it demonstrates the qualities I bring to deeply personal storytelling: curiosity, compassion, trust, and insight. I share it as a sample of my work, which you can read here.

Hire me to help you shape your expertise into thought leadership or to tell your personal story with honesty and impact.

Editing & Proofreading
The best editing advice I ever got was framed to me as a question: "How many words can you lose without losing substance and flow?"

With three years at The Toronto Star as a newsletter editor, I've sharpened my editing skills to a fine point. I spot inconsistencies, refine arguments, and elevate any piece of writing to craft clear, concise, and compelling narratives. I offer support across every stage of the editorial process:

-
Developmental Editing (big-picture story and structure)
-
Line Editing (sentence-level style and flow)
-
Copyediting (grammar, spelling, and mechanics)
-
Proofreading (final checks for typos and formatting)

Hire me to help you polish your work into the best version of itself that it can be.

Fact-checking
Accuracy builds trust. As a freelance fact-checker with Agence France-Presse (AFP), I verify sources, and cross-check claims against scientific papers, research papers, historical records, news archives and more for misinformation and disinformation.

As a non-fiction fact-checker, I review your work for accuracy. Hire me to check longform magazine articles, nonprofit reports, or nonfiction books.

Training
I design and deliver workshops and one-on-one coaching sessions on reporting, writing, editing, and fact-checking. Drawing from my background in journalism, I help teams and individuals sharpen their storytelling, refine their editorial processes, and strengthen their verification skills. Training is tailored to your needs, whether it’s empowering a communications team, mentoring early-career writers, or guiding subject-matter experts to communicate more effectively.

Most recently, I participated in a Training-of-Trainers workshop focused on countering disinformation through media and information literacy, organized by the Coalition Against Disinformation (CAD) with Freedom Network and International Media Support (IMS). I led two sessions on fact-checking, focusing on the fundamentals of methodology and the verification process, and the practical skills and tools needed for verifying viral claims, images, videos, disinformation campaigns, including AI-generated
content, and conducting open-source investigations.
